ENGINEERING V GRAND OPENDING CEREMONY

The grand opening celebration for Engineering V was held on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 in front of the 3rd floor entrance into the building. Engineering V houses state-of-the-art laboratories, seminar rooms and spaces that encourage collaborations across disciplines. The Henry Samueli School of Engineering is committed to providing students & faculty with the best facilities for education and research.

The program for the grand opening ceremony included speeches from Vijay K. Dhir, HSSEAS Dean; Gene Block, UCLA Chancellor; Henry Samueli, Professor of EE, CEO of Broadcom and the Honorable Julia Brownley, representing the 41st District followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony. The event included self-guided tours of the research laboratories and offices of the Materials Science & Engineering Department (2nd & 3rd floor) and the Bioengineering Department (4th & 5th floors) followed by a luncheon on the Engineering IV patio.
