It has been announced by the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) the pending inductions of  Professors Dino Di Carlo and Tzung Hsiai.

The AIMBE Fellows are recognized for their contributions in teaching, research, and innovation.

Professor Di Carlo was elected for outstanding contributions to inertial microfluidics that have revolutionized the biotechnology of cell separation. Professor Hsiai was elected for outstanding contributions to patient-specific intervention including integrating vascular biology, electrochemical impedance, and MEMS to detect plaque burden.

There will be a formal induction ceremony to be held during AIMBE’s Annual Meeting in Washington, DC on April 4, 2016.
