Bioengineering Undergrad Jaideep Dudani Named 2012 Goldwater Scholar
Congratulations to Jaideep Dudani, one of the 2012 recipients of the national Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship!
The Goldwater Scholarship is a very prestigious national scholarship for high achieving students of engineering and the science, who have the intent of pursuing further education in the sciences and careers in scientific research.
Dudani is a third-year Bioengineering major, Biomedical Research minor who intends to obtain a Ph.D. in Bioengineering. He is interested in research and developing biomedical devices for the social good. His UCLA faculty mentors include Professor Daniel Kamei and Professor Dino Di Carlo--in whose lab Dudani has helped develop a robust device with optimized designs for cancer cell and leukocyte analysis. Dudani is also a UCLA Howard Hughes Undergraduate Research Scholar and a UC Regents' Scholar.
