BME Graduate Student Kristine Mayle Wins NSF Award

Congratulations to Kristine Mayle for her recent NSF Graduate Research Fellowship award. Her research focuses on the potential application of polypeptide vesicles toward drug delivery. Mayle is a second-year Ph.D candidate within the BME program, under the advisement of Professor Kamei. She graduated from Ohio University in 2010 with a B.S. in chemical engineering. Recipients of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship are selected for outstanding research. The NSF award lasts for three years and provides annual stipends for recipients and cost-of-education allowances for the recipients' institution.
