On March 7, 2024, the Bioengineering department welcomed the newly admitted graduate students for our annual Graduate Student Open House event. Presentations include welcome remarks from Vice Chair- Dr. Dino Di Carlo, Bioengineering Graduate Association (BGA) Board Members, and this year’s Research Day oral presentation winner, Yifan Wu.
After the brief presentations, the admitted students were escorted to the Engineering VI, 2nd floor patio to partake in the Coffee Hour to meet and network with current Bioengineering graduate students, faculty and staff to learn more about the program, research interests, and campus life. Then BGA led a lab tour of Dr. Dino Di Carlo’s and Dr. Song Li’s research labs for students to get a glimpse of a day in the life in some of the labs. The day finished with BGA and the students having dinner in Rocco’s Tavern and exploring Westwood Village.
