The Meyer lab has received a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to use computational design to improve antibodies’ abilities to direct the immune system. In earlier work, published in 2018 [1], they showed that a novel computational algorithm could predict the effectiveness of anti-tumor antibodies. The current work will address how antibodies work when present in combination with other antibodies, which arises during pharmaceutical manufacturing, as well as therapies and vaccines.
