On Sunday, June 1st, 2025, BMES hosted its annual Technical Projects Symposium which was held in Engineering VI, Mong Auditorium. It showcased the work of the student organizations’ year-long technical projects. The symposium event featured presentations, posters, and demonstrations of projects ranging from an origami-inspired soft robotics endoscope to a research study on genetically engineering bacteria to degrade microplastics.
Bioengineering faculty, industry advisory and alumni board members were invited to show their support and many also volunteered to serve as judges the student’s projects.
Dean Alissa Park was also in attendance, presented students with their awards and gave some closing remarks.
