The UCLA Department of Bioengineering recently hosted SoCalBio Networking @ UCLA on August 28, 2025, at the James West Alumni Center, welcoming professionals from across the life sciences ecosystem. Organized in partnership with the Southern California Biomedical Council (SoCalBio), the event aimed to foster meaningful connections between academia and industry in fields such as biotechnology, medical technology, diagnostics, and digital health. Faculty, researchers, and students joined executives and innovators from leading companies to exchange ideas, explore collaborative opportunities, and strengthen ties within the Greater Los Angeles life sciences community.
Guests enjoyed an evening of engaging conversations, refreshments, and networking in a relaxed setting that celebrated innovation and community. Representatives from several prominent life science organizations were in attendance, underscoring the strong industry interest in UCLA’s research and talent.
