On Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, the UCLA Bioengineering department hosted our annual Capstone Design Symposium for our graduating senior students. Dr. Mireille Kamariza helped host this year’s capstone symposium alongside various graduate teaching assistants who also guided the undergraduate students with their capstone projects for the past two quarters. BioE faculty members who also assisted the students were in attendance and affiliated faculty helped judge the projects as well.

Oral Presentation Winner:

Poster Presentation Winner:
Team I (Lina Kafadarian, Humza Malik, Jeeth Pawar, Emika Saito, Robin Shi, Isabel Thomas)
Project Title: An Automated Device for Food Pathogen Detection Integrating the Magnetic Lateral-Flow Immunoassay
