BE Capstone Design Symposium 2025

On Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, the UCLA Bioengineering department hosted our annual Capstone Design Symposium for our graduating senior students. Dr. Mireille Kamariza helped host this year’s capstone symposium alongside various graduate teaching assistants who also guided the undergraduate students with their capstone projects for the past two quarters. BioE faculty members who also assisted the students were in attendance and affiliated faculty helped judge the projects as well.

Oral Presentation Winner:

1st place: Team H.

Project Title: Development of an Automated Device for Quantification of Digoxin in Dried Blood Spots via a Lateral Flow Immunoassay

2nd place: Team F. Rapid Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing Using Hollow Core-Shell Microparticles.

3rd place: Team I. Development of Electromyography-Controlled Assistive Robotics for Self-Feeding.

Poster Presentation Winner:

1st place: Team H.
