The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) at UCLA is honored to be selected as a national award winner and accept the Commendable Achievement Award!

Established in 2003, BMES at UCLA aims to connect students interested in Bioengineering and support them through professional development, community outreach, technical skills development, and mentorship and social opportunities. We represent the primary Bioengineering-focused student organization at UCLA at the undergraduate level and hope to connect undergraduates, graduate students, alumni, staff, and faculty in our organization to the Bioengineering Department and the greater engineering community on campus. Whether students are interested in joining social activities to make new friends or build professional development skills for their futures, we strive to help students succeed during both their college and career journeys. In the 2021-2022 academic year, BMES encouraged more interpersonal connections between students and leaders in industry, introduced a new technical workshops series, and pushed for greater diversity and inclusion through increased mental health events.
