Dr. Jun Chen was recently granted the Materials Today Rising Star Award 2021. This award recognizes the early career researchers in materials science and engineering who have demonstrated themselves to be exceptionally capable researchers with the potential to become future leaders in the field. In 2021, the Materials Today Rising Star Award will comprise an honorarium of USD 1000, and the opportunity to author a special review article for the flagship journal Materials Today, which has a current impact factor of 31.041, ranking it 8 out of 333 in Materials Science, Multidisciplinary. Dr. Chen was also invited to give a webinar on March 15, 2022.
Dr. Chen’s research focuses on nanotechnology and bioelectronics for energy, sensing, and therapeutic applications in the form of smart textiles, wearables, and body area networks. Beyond research, he serves as an associate editor for the journal Biosensors and Bioelectronics.
