On March 6, 2026, the UCLA Bioengineering department welcomed the newly admitted graduate students for our annual Graduate Student Open House event. Presentations include welcome remarks from Vice Chair- Dr. Dr. Aaron Meyer, a presentation by Bioengineering Graduate Association (BGA) Board Members, and a graduate student research presentation given by Ph.D. student, Milos Vukadinovik.

After the brief presentations, the admitted students were escorted to go on lab tours in Engineering V and VI to see Dr. Aaron Meyer, Dr. Mireille Kamariza, Dr. Dino Di Carlo, and Dr. Song Li’s lab spaces for prospective students to get a glimpse of a day in the life in some of the labs. After the tours, our department chair, Dr. Dino Di Carlo walked the prospective students to the Engineering VI, 1st floor breezeway and patio to get lunch and network with other prospective students and faculty within the programs they were accepted into. After lunch, the staff from the Samueli School of Engineering took the students on an hour long campus tour and then met back in Engineering V, room 5101 to attend the BioE Coffee Hour to meet and network with current Bioengineering graduate students, faculty and staff to learn more about the program, research interests, and campus life.

Thank you for visiting UCLA Bioengineering and we hope to see you in Fall as Bruins!
