On April 13th, the Samueli School of Engineering held the Discover Engineering event during the campus wide Bruin Day event for all students who have been admitted to UCLA as freshmen. This event allowed those attending to interact with our student clubs and organizations at the Court of Sciences and meet with current engineering undergraduates, faculty and staff.

The event went from 1 PM – 4 PM at the Court of Sciences, which included Engineering Ambassador tours that were held every 30 minutes, Undergraduate clubs and Organizations Student fair, The Engineering Fair, and remarks from the Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs and Engineering faculty.

The event also let all Engineering departments have their own booths for major related information for those admitted. The Bioengineering department’s information table gave admitted BioE students a chance meet academic counselors, faculty, alumni, and current undergraduate students currently involved with BMES for the duration of the event and pique their interest to become a part of our department!
